"How does sowing give this a 2.5 wtf"
My exact thought. This is Carrie & Lowell except on steroids. This is probably the most beautiful and saddest thing I've ever heard. It's like coming across a Facebook status that's all too personal. You hate you saw it, but at the same time feel some sort of movement throughout your skeleton. This is a 5/5 and anyone rating it lower is lying. Carrie & Lowell is cute but this is better. This is a glimpse into something we shouldn't have seen but we saw anyway. This is true human emotion. So. Fucking. Good. This is just beyond words

Lol i didn't really mean from a quality standpoint, I haven't heard this. It just seems like Sowing-core 101. I do kind of agree though with what you said. Carrie and Lowell is emotional as hell but it's a lot of cute fluff. The line you put down as your soundoff, "Conceptual emptiness was cool to talk about, back before I knew my way around these hospitals." is particularly amazing, and I can't wait to hear it in recording.

It will tear you to tears. This is an album that shouldn't have been made but was made anyway. It will pull you through every emotion you can find. I think TDAG just took a spot as #2 for me. This album pulled emotions out of me I didn't know I had. Phil loved his Genevieve.

Not very hard to dethrone The Devil and God tbqh
Still excited to hear this. Honestly though, I'm trying to get through his Microphones and Mt.Eerie albums first : )

I would think sad stripped-down folk is right up Sowing's alley.
The real question though, is it Boney-core?
|

it's pretty sappy so yeah
