umm sorry nah

the waves crashing against the rocks, the flames flowing in the wind into a dark tentacled mass vs some really weird jack-o-lantern

idk how youre getting a jack-o-lantern out of it but abstract art depicting some hellish tentacled nightmare > obvious image of cthulhu decimating a city. for this album anyways. maybe if it was like a straightforward death metal album the other one would be more appropriate but for the style these guys are playing, nah.

This was so much better than the last lovecraft inspired band you guys raved about. Can't wait to hear the rest of the record, the songs on the bandcamp were sick

atmospheric bm is definitely more of my cup of tea and the big wall of sound post metal influence and all the tremolo stuff is REALLY my cup of tea, are they like that on all their releases?

had to bump up the rating. fuck this is good. i enjoyed Tekeli-Li, but this stomps it imo. Mare Infinitum is such a perfect closer.

@botb i havent heard their first one but Tekeli-Li is like that, yes.

Listening to Tekeli-Li, wish I knew what the dude said in French in the first song but holy shit this rules too. Out of the gate with what you can tell is supposed to sound like one of the old gods walking with some nasty sludge. This is very cool

I don't see this surpassing a 4, bit too straightforward for me, but well-done straightforward
