every review on sputnik is turning into a news article or biography about the band. we don't need to know everything that happened before we got here... how does it sound, how does it compare to the last one, goodbye.

A lot of the songs sound like older punk rather than modern hardcore. Much more aggressive than pop punk, but not going for all out brutality like hardcore and retaining the melodic sensibilities of indie, and Frank's vocal delivery reminds me of classic punk. I'm OK with it. Nothing that stands out for me but it's OK.

I also prefer hardcore Carter and Gallows, but this is not bad at all. The softening up doesn't bother me much, but Carter's lyrics used to be better, especially on Grey Britain.

A different approach I guess, I think they're really good on here. But to compare any of Frank's work to Grey Britain would be like comparing a Wagyu steak to spam. lol

Not into this. Listened to the last album again, not into it either. Come to think of it, I wasn't into Gallows either so I shouldn't be surprised.

The T/T, Modern Ruin, is one of the more aggressive ones on here, bud. I'd check that one if you had to listen to just one song.

OOW is a decent hardcore record, but it's nowhere near the same league as GB. In fact, Gallows only amazing album is GB imo. lol Anything post GB is just okay.

Franks new stuff comes bloody close to GB though.

This is good, but man, just not at all what I am looking for in Frank. It's cool he wants to do other things but I'm not really into it. Respect for trying though. It does seem a bit strange he would hook the Gallows crowd with Blossom and then do this, though.
