This is good, can't decide if as good as the debut

I really thought it was but it wears off pretty hard. The strangest part is that the ones I thought were the best upon first listen are becoming my least favorite and the ones that were my least favorite at first are becoming my favorite. "Replica" and "Performance" and "Dangerous" are all becoming my top favorites but they were meh the first time I heard it. I think it's just because I listened to it all the way through at first and "Replica" and "Performance" blended together too much as well as a lot in the middle, but in pieces you really enjoy it more.

The s/t had a more promising rating, this sounds nice and polished but is missing something for me atm.

Gets better after each listen. This was a like a 2/2.5 for me after 3 listens but now it's closer to a 3.5 and has become one of my most listened to albums of the year so far. I am a fairly big Jamie xx fan though.

Yeah what I love most about this is that Jamie xx really flaired up the production.

Yeah this is about a 2.5 on first listen for me as well, gonna give it another chance tomorrow tho.

Jamie is the star here for sure and it takes quite a few listens to appreciate all the subtleties in his production on this album.

Yeah, maybe disappointment of the year so far.

I wasn't like foaming at the mouth for this to come out or anything, but I enjoy their first and second albums and thought for sure I'd have something to like here. Unfortunately, none of the songs stick out to me at all.
