i think this aged better than some of their other stuff
but it does come off a bit meatheaded at points

When you mix Machine Head, Unbroken and Korn riffs, I don't know how it couldn't. The drummer told me the guitar player literally just likes writing mosh riffs.

man i relistened to that recently and it did not do much for me
remember the production being a bit naff and the vocalist being pretty mediocre.

yee, this band really wore off of me.

tbh i dont see the similarity between disembodied and bloodlet. this is more groove-oriented and breakdown heavy and bloodlet is more about teh doom and atmospher
|

They’re both super heavy metalcore that were in the scene around the same time, yea they do different things but it’s not hard to imagine them playing shows together

yeah but if were just going based on scenes and touring and stuff then bands like coalesce and get up kids would be comparable
|

I think Coalesce and Bloodlet are good recs for someone who likes Disembodied
The Get Up Kids not so much. Other than James Dewees being in the band, they have nothing in common with those hardcore bands lol

I think Supercoolguy64 is trying to say although TGUK and Coalesce don't sound alike, they were part of the same scene in that they played shows together. Whereas Bloodlet and disembodied also sound different (although more similar to one another than TGUK and Coalesce), but would still likely play shows together.

Bloodlet sound nothing like disembodied. Both rule though 'the seraphim fall is one if my fave records ever

I think they get lumped together because they were both dark-ish sounding hardcore bands from the 90s. Disembodied are just mosh tunes, while Bloodlet are just dark and heavy tunes.

yeah what the other guys said pre much
this thread reminds me how kick ass it would be to see 'let, 'lesce, and 'bodied together at a show. even better if get up kids opened lmao

That would be an incredible show. I have seen Coalesce with disembodied and Bloodlet with disembodied, but not all 3 together.
