But fr what do you expect a metal band (let alone a bunch of dudes in their 50s) playing at the grammys live on TV to be like? There's no way they let Metallica play on TV without some sort of guest so that "the main audience can ~connect~ with it" or w/e, and fr who would have done a better job as a guest? Listened to a radio show one time a few years ago and Gaga was going on and on about how much she loved fucking Saxon of all things. The stage dive was a bit eeeehhh but she's been playing dive bars for the last like year to support her new album. I don't really see Gaga as fake in this regard. They did the best that they could imo although I agree the "crowd" was extraa cringey

Put Slayer up there (you know, a band that never 'sold out') or even a more modern band like Vektor and I 100% gauruntee they get the same exact score on the cringe-o-meter and possibly even worse since most metal bands don't really have the pop sensibilities that post-80s Metallica has. Metal bands just don't belong at the grammys imo. There's no way on earth the grammys aren't gonna make it look as cheesy as possible, no matter how cvlt the band is.

I hope Gaga joins tallica, I've accepted that the world as I know it is being turned into an alternate timeline so lets see how far we can take it.

a collab with rat face couldn't be any worse than lulu . That's the silver liniing of that abomination, it lowered the bar onto the floor for future releases

I actually thought Gaga did a great job, given the obvious issues. However, I do think the...err...background dancers are cringeworthy as hell.
