It's pretty hard to watch yeah. From my understanding, it's the Grammys preshow lol

The whole metal genre pretty much caught the shaft at the Grammy's.

lmfao no the grammys could not be anymore farcical from a metal standpoint at least . You'd think there'd still be one fucker with a sliver of brain/knowledge that would object to the idea of playing a metallica song upon megadeath winning, although i'm glad there weren't

I'll be damned if they didn't put of some of the best shit ever when I was a kid.. They were easily one of if not my favorite band during that time period I gotta at least give em' that still listen to the classics at least every other week lol

I really don't understand how you can enjoy justice but not anything off of RTL or MoP

way ahead of you dude, grew up with those records, heard them literally a thousand times......they wore off a bit, still classic though and will always respect them....present day metallica turns me off as well where i'm less inclined to even go back to their classics

justice has weathered the test of time the best for me

I hear you bro can't fatigue yourself.

Justice? Absolutely man, It does seem to have that affect for me too little bit more going on for the 'tallica loved it.

Yeah Justice has matured really well for me too. But the one Metallica I keep returning to most nowadays has to be Kill em All just because of the pure energy and the fact that it contains the side of Metallica I really love when they were young and hungry. Had it on tape and got it on cd the day I went to buy Reload which ofc didn't buy.

justice is their opus in my eyes too , by a narrow margin tho. The production doent irk me as much as it does others and of course its got One which has/will always be my fav tallica track and the first difficult song i mastered on guitar after months of slogging away but i digress. It must be shit to have your childhood idols fall this far from grace and become almost parodies of their former selves.

Mansog, I hear you bud, pure young adult adrenaline blasting through on Kill em' all .. loved it. Y'know Ephemeral it doesn't bother me as much as it used too.. it pissed me off a lot more when I was younger, but I'm eh whatever about it now. It's crazy to think how popular they got..

I can't believe the amount of times I've seen "Metallica used to be my favorite band, but after performing with Lady Gaga, I CANT STAND THEM. FUCKINGG SELLOUTS" on social media the past few days

if i had a band, i'd be selling out like a muthafucker if it meant that additional generations of my family would never have to worry about a dollar bill

as if it's the first poor step they've made in their career, and as if performing with a pop star is the ultimate nail in the coffin, and is if the people posting that even know jack about music . one of the reasons that whenever I feel the urge to mindlessly scroll the newsfeed I hop onto sput instead, the Messenger app is the only facet of Facebook that's worth shit anyway.

idk there's still something real admirable about bands who play semi-inaccessible music that continue to play in that vein even when they experience more mainstream popularity, or bands that play flat out obscure shit with absolutely no interest in monetizing. That's artistic integrity and the essence of music to me.

i agree with you from an integrity standpoint......but priorities change, at least mine did, from a 'life' standpoint, as the family and their security is always #1.....i'd be a sellout every day of the week.....i have a business mentality rather than an artistic mentality

my music would suck because of it lol
