It'll probably be another year, what with them releasing a live album an all.

Generally speaking, AAL is impressive, just not very interesting. Like if I'm just sitting there going "wow everyone is very talented" instead of "this is a great song," then I think something has been lost.

Album has grown its way to AAL's best.

Ranking goes: Madness > TJOM > S/T > Weightless.

Honestly, I get that feeling too when I listen to the albums. But live it all makes sense. The problem is not that they're not writing great music. The problem is that it is easy to get lost in how good they are as musicians and not actually listen to the music as a whole. Turns out the music is indeed pretty great.

would agree with the above here. the brain dance for one is an amazing piece of music. almost remind me a bit of traditional eastern african music with the acoustic riff in the beginning. and it's absolutely beautiful.

I'd love to see them experiment with some of their own personal influences, Reyes, in particular, plays a mean latin style.

Just listened to "The Brain Dance" live. Nonsense...too much going on. No reservation. If the acoustic guitar slowed down and the drums relaxed, but man, I used to like this band.

This and Joy are my favourite AAL albums. Arithmophobia is one of the sickest openers ever

What happened to this band

Joy of Motion was fucking ELITE and then this was pretty good and then poof they're gone...

Maybe they were scared off by that Thrailkill album;)

If you started with the band with this album, then maybe, but compared to the other 3, this doesn't stack up quite as well overall.

Fucking word tho; I will back this statement.

Did not dig this when it released, but god damn this grew on me hard. Love private visions and the glass bridge.
