Gonna have to bump. This slays whole way through. Such a step up from oouitk. Easily one of the best albums in a year full of good music

oouitk is the perfect balance of chaos and pop songwriting. The songs are so memorable and is totally underrated.

I dunno man, it was pretty on point the whole time for me. Like this album has low points lower than killer for sure. Like when he's speaking poetically on "Wanting Not So Much to as To" that's pretty weird and cheesy. While still decent, it doesn't bring the rest of the material too much further down so I look past it.

The spoken word on Wanting... was questionable to me until I heard how well it meshed with the melodic parts that came after it. For me the cheesiest part was the lyrics during the chorus of Nothing to Forget: "Please let me be by myself I don't need anything." Idk it just seems edgy/angsty. Lyrics don't usually make or break a song for me, so I can get past it and still enjoy the song.

Wanting Not To rules hard, that Slint-esque spoken word segment is so good.

Yeah. [2]

The "chorus driven" aspect of this album, and latter albums in general, is one of the reasons why I can't get in to this. A lot of it is just jarring, and not in a good way.
