Snide seal of approval.

Lock and Load is the only reason Transit Blues isn't a 5 for me. Even setting aside its on-the-nose nature, it feels more dull and droning musically than the rest of the album.

He was clearly trying to isolate the lyrics for our attention and whew lad swing and a miss.

I simply can't stand Mike's vocals. I've never loved them but they just get more grating every album

Alright, one listen down and the new album is a beast. I'm loving this sound from them. The only song I wasn't a big fan of was Please Say No, but it's not that bad. Switchblade, The Thread, Spiderhead, Wave of Youth, and Numb are the ones that stuck out on first spin.

Mike sounds so fucking tortured on this album, it's great. I understand why some people don't like his vocals, but I've always loved them. Like when he screams "GRABBING AT THE THREEEAAADDDD". So gnarly.

The Thread is the best song they’ve ever written.
Really happy with how The Act turned out.

Giving it a few more spins before I rate it, but it's kinda feeling like a 4.5 right now.

Finally jammed The Act. I liked it. It's not nearly as good as their last couple albums, but I enjoyed it. The "softer" stuff on the latter half is way better than in the first half. Oddly enough, those last two singles Chemical and Please Say No ended up being the worst songs on here (though Wave of Youth isn't very good either).
And you guys weren't kidding about The Thread. That and Switchblade are probably my biggest jams off this so far.

I actually like Chemical and Wave of Youth. But yeah I agree about Please Say No, it's not too bad of a song but it's just not nearly as good as the other ones. It's the one that I can see myself skipping in the future once the new album vibes wear off.
Jeremy has improved sooooo much as a singer. Really impressed with how he sounds here.

Yeah idk about this one so far guys, like it has great ideas but I’m not sure about the execution and implementation, I also agree about it having waaaay too much melody
