Very impressed with the album as a whole.



I was a bit unsure of the singles at first but then ended up listening to all 3 on repeat once they grew on me a bit.

The Act is... Fine. There wasn't a single moment that really struck me. It's enjoyable background music but whenever I really focus on it I struggle to find anything memorable. I'll still take their old stuff over the new. I understand that that's an unpopular opinion, but at least they were kinda fun back on Plagues and Roots. Dead Throne aint bad either.

No idea how you weren't impressed. This album has some of the best songwriting and musicianship of their careers.



This is their least formulaic album to date and some of their experiments were misses but more often than not they pulled off something unique and creative song to song.



I'm pretty neutral towards Mike's new scream/sing thing I guess, but his cleans on here are fantastic.

Agreed hard. It may be different but I don't think that automatically makes it good. Passable is how I would describe the songwriting. Listened to their old albums last night to confirm my opinion of them. Still like them more. I'm a sucker for that early 2000s metalcore sound though. Those types of riffs and melodies will always be more engaging to me than what they're doing here.

I don't get the hate for that song. Yeah the lyrics are about as on the nose as you can get but instrumentally I think it's okay.

It's bland instrumentally and then he's yelling "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD" about background checks it's literally the worst song I've ever heard.
