ok but my point was that both of those records represent 'Kanye the person' more than 'Kanye the artist', but the difference between them is that Yeezus is a record with the kind of sound and wordsmithing that captures the beauty behind his madness and allows him to get away with flaws a lot more easily just because of how its designed.



this record is more like the personification of kanye's twitter meltdowns of the last year and nothing works. i mean, the fact he had to basically patch the album multiple times is more than enough to show he wasn't in a stable enough mindset to make things work out picture perfect, and even with all the changes he still hasn't made anything worthwhile outside of a very, very small handful of songs.



its his first genuine dub in his entire discography, and arguments that can be made in favor of it are just lost on me when every other album he has done has been thousands of times better.

Album still has some great tracks like Freestyle 4, FML, Real Friends, 30 Hours, No more Parties, Facts, and I guess Fade too.

Edit: I jest but Chuck, Toad clearly didn't write the review as a sort of hate mail towards the album and he had admitted on the first page (I think) this was indeed meant for him to process his thoughts on the album properly (on different threads on this abum, he really did have trouble trying to properly reason what he didn't like about the album so much as well). Just see that there is a polar opposite side that does disagree with your opinion.
