I've listened enough to this to finally give my rating. So looking at my previous ratings I see a downward trend in Justin's output. Tracks 3-6 of this are actually great and among the best he produced. I wonder how many of those tracks are leftovers from his last album. The rest is nothing special IMO, although definitely enjoyable (except maybe track 8). All the sound shananigans don't do much more than distract from the songs, except for track 3.
I do love the different reviews for this album, but in the end the album is just another good one for Bon Iver, nothing more, nothing less.
