right now I feel like new year could've replaced about half of this tracklist, not sure why it was cut. It's beautiful

honestly as much as i kind of circlejerk a bit about ther music i do think she is heavily underrated in general, what with only having one album at a 4 or above

i had to bump this, it's definitely my favourite regina record so far. 'the light' is magical, its the 'samson' or 'us' of the album for me in that i feel like i'll still be listening to it with the same magical feeling in 5 years time.

I think it might be my favorite as well. I've listened to it an insane amount of times since it dropped and it hasn't lost its luster. The thing I love about an album like this is your favorite tracks seem to be constantly changing. Lately I haven't been able to get 'older and taller' out of my head. That song has much more depth to it than I initially thought. love the subtle use of the strings and it gets me every time when she sings "enjoy your youth/sounds like a threat/but I will anyways" and the way the pianos and strings mimic her words. Idk the instrumental touches on this album are just amazing, and there's such an obvious classical influence which only adds to the appeal

made some edits to the review to touch a bit more on the orchestral touches, and mentioned small bill$ as well

surprised more people aren't digging this... I guess that's what happens when Bon Iver releases an album on the same day, but it is what it is

While the whole album is great, the second half is so consistently good.
