That link doesn't work, but based on the url, it better! I listened to this on a drive home yesterday and it still has so much charm. This band gets a lot of flack, but this and Dusk are really creative albums that managed to blend gothic with black metal flawlessly.

I always felt like this album sounded relatively thin, and that snare can get tiresome. It's interesting how simple and almost mechanical Barker's drumming on this was, but it's very effective in guiding the story telling aspect of the album. There are really cool parts and fills for sure but that iconic docka docka docka docka docka docka... cadence throughout a ton of the album makes for a great backbone. I think this was one of the first albums to lyrically blow me away. I still hold this in high regard as one of the greatest concept albums ever written.
