The first track , title track is so fucking great. The shivering guitar textures are other-worldly. Sets the mood for the entire album.

Yeah it's one of their best. There's really no other band out there like this one.

Agree. Nothing sounds like them. Melting Sun is one of my favorite albums ever tho. Not the same, but I get the same feelings while listening.

I haven't thought about Melting Sun in a while, that one's fantastic. It and Shelter kind of rocked this genre world on release: two of the greats, Alcest and Lantlos, dropping their bm elements for a new sound, all shortly after Sunbather came out and changed everything too.

Also the bonus track on Shelter and Melting Sun are each among the best on the albums. I think both are on Spotify.

The female vox on the bonus track on Shelter - took me by surprise! Great track. Melting Sun VII is the song that made me eventually give the album a perfect rating. Very addicting.

Yeah same. Into the Waves is probably among their top 5 for me, so amazing. It'd be nice if both were included on the main albums so everyone could hear them, they're only around 40 minutes long too.

Still amazed at how crisp these guys sounded live. When the guitars crashed in to start Eclosion I felt my whole world come together.

Plus, Neige's vocals were absolutely stellar. I caught them on, I think, their second show on the tour so he was fresh. Cleans were perfect, didn't miss a note and the harsh vox were maybe even better than on the album. Very surreal.

Jealous.

Deafheaven and This Will Destroy You are in town Sunday. Thinking about going.

They were near me last night but I had a family dinner party so I wasn't able to make it. Had a lot of fun tho so it's all good, I'll see 'em next time.

Though when I told my dad he said they could've moved the family dinner date, because live music is very important to go to. Pretty cool thing for him to say, though the concert was supposed to be on Wednesday, and the band had just moved it to Thursday because of the storm, so that messed up my scheduling.

Shiiit, I was going to see Deafheaven on Thursday, but I'm actually flying out that night to Phoenix to see HORSE the Band the following day.

Same. IDK if it's too early, but I'd put Elocsion in my top 5 favorite Alcest songs.

I don't think it's too early. That one and Oiseaux are in there for me.
