He sounds nasally on Will O, but in contrast, he sounds amazing on that one quiet part in Wilde.

Snide do it! Also Opeth lyrics used to be fantastic, and while not terrible here, have been steadily declining over the past few albums.

@Sinternet: I can't 1 it, there's a few instrumental passages that started to actually go somewhere and catch my interest, so I've gotta give it that extra .5

Mike gets the job done on here.

It's a far more instrumentally driven album than PC, which had Mike at the forefront of most songs.

if I wanted to listen to King Crimson, I'd listen to a fucking King Crimson album, not Opeth doing their third installment in "Baby's first prog metal album"

like who in the band thought this was a good idea?

Reviewing this right now. It'll be up soon, I've listened to the album six times, and it's just grinding my gears not to review it.

There's a lot of KC and 70's prog influences here as expected, but there's that unmistakable trademark Opeth sound spread across most of these tracks.

The general consensus for this record really is if you didn't enjoy anything post-Watershed, chances are you aren't gonna like this.
