It's a far more instrumentally driven album than PC, which had Mike at the forefront of most songs.

There's a lot of KC and 70's prog influences here as expected, but there's that unmistakable trademark Opeth sound spread across most of these tracks.
The general consensus for this record really is if you didn't enjoy anything post-Watershed, chances are you aren't gonna like this.
