This album is pretty dull overall. Aside from the title track (sans the ridiculous intro), most of the best parts just sound like weaker remixes of previous songs anyway. Opeth have proven that they cannot make interesting albums filled entirely of songs with Akerfeldt's only average clean vocals, and almost nothing heavy at all. Damnation was the first sign of this, the last two albums just cemented that fact, and this album is barely better than the previous two.



There's just nothing memorable here.
