I feel like their sound is off on this album



like I appreciate their move to songs that feel less chaotic but literally every song with clean vocals that isn't palm dreams gets a skip from me idgaf about your skyscraper hype



and so many of the songs just don't do much for me

This album is a crushing tapestry of loss. It's beautiful, it's furious, it's painful. I love every second of the record because it is all an emotional response to something we all have to face at one point or another. There's some sonic things I'd maybe wish were slightly different but that's just me nitpicking honestly.



As far as their discography I do think "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse" is my least favorite full length of theirs. Not that it is a bad record, I love it, but the others hold so much more emotional weight and significance to me.
