what they did on eoes is my favorite approach to this type of metal ive ever heard tbh, and it had the substance

HFID was really good, definitely underrated imo. My heart for deliverance, at the well, casting of the ages, bleeding the pigs, All is found...all quality tracks.

if I were to compare this to any of their other albums it would be rising. Quite a few moments here that reminded me of that record. Just doesn't have the super dark atmosphere.

When youve got a back catalogue as praised as Neurosis of course everyones going to compare new stuff to old but when you release records as infrequently as they do you cant expect them to be similar to stuff they wrote a decade ago! Theyre different people and you have to take it as that.
