Great review as usual. I'm very excited to hear this one, and I hope that you're able to get early access to the new Alcest album.
Thanks Beef! No indication yet of access to the new Alcest, but I check multiple times a day haha

Been doing the same here. Im so fucking happy that Neige isnt on commission to make music for Cialis ads like he was on Shelter.

i wouldnt say this has one of those Neurosis "epic" songs but everything grooves nicely and after its over your ready to give it another jam.

The production is so good on this, the whole thing just sounds huge. Noah really compliments the guitars well. It almost functions like a long ep, because nothing feels wasted or superfluous, and the shorter running time is a nice contrast to the last album. I'd say it's their most guitar heavy album since TOG.

Apart from maybe 'at the well' they havent wrote those Neurosis prototype 'epic' songs for nearly 10 years.
|
| |
honestly i haven't heard this but how cool would it be if neurosis recruited bob rock and just jammed out for 40 mins THAT would sound huge right

I fully agree, love how present the bass is as well.
