theres tracks like say 'casting of the ages' which as entirely different beast live thank on record. Sounding like they do on record is more of a reason to go. The flip is that theyre sloppy as fuck. You get to see a set list executed perfectly by legends on a huge sound system with like minded people..

Stones From the Sky live won me over. the atmosphere was something far beyond the record.

Ah sorry Dom, My mistake. And yeah youre 100% correct Mastodon are lifeless and the Vox are pretty terrible live. All though I did see them in a small Pub in the UK on remission tour for about 100 people and that was great but every other time has been bad.
