"If this doll looked like Granny Grotbags no one here would listen to this schlock"

"Run Away With Me" is gud and it would be just as gud, if she'd looked like "Granny Grotbags"

The voice is so over produced and conveys so little originality/personality I doubt I'd dig it but I'll try it.

If it's on the previous album I've already heard it but I only gave it one listen because I found the album to be useless

it's on the previous album. I didn't listen to this (and don't really intent to) and i found the last LP to be mostly mediocre/nondescript with 2-3 great moments of cheesy synth-pop goodness in there.

Didn't realise she won Canadian Idol. That must be the international Poland football team of singing contests - all the talent drains across the border digging up a passport from a dead grandparent. Surely if you have anything about you you take on the US competition.

She was probably up against a singing lumberjack and some roadkill

Because everyone knows, American (or Canadian) Idol is so indicative of actual talent.

i mean it's definitely indicative of singing talent. doesnt say anything about songwriting tho, but it seems Carly has that on lock

I mean yeah, if you can't hold a note, you won't be the next american idol, that's true. But even in the vocal department they are horribly biased towards really showy, flashy and melodramatic vocalists. (or at least they are in the German equivalent)

I'm seeing Doof and Zak agreeing more and more, and it's hilarious.

Female pop artist releases a legitimately defensible album and someone like Doof arrogantly reduces all her critical success down to some preconceived idea that her audience wants nothing more than to bang her. I'm sure your words will have aspiring young women just reaching for the stars, good job.

Doof wtf

Well I'm gay and definitely don't want to bang her and I think she is a very talented pop star

It's always the younger pop stars that bring the annoying bitter old man thinking he knows better

She's not even really popular besides a 5 year old meme-related song, and she doesn't exactly flaunt her sexuality about either

Anyway

I can't get enough of Store

Like it's silly and kind of cringe, but sonically so infectious
