He was dropping music and radio shows up until that show tho so he hadn't really stepped away. Everything after this era has been mid to terrible. The way he handled Coachella felt like a big fuck you to all his supporters.

The singles that Frank dropped in the year or so after Blonde were pretty incredible too imo. I thought that the block between Channel Orange would be the longest and that he had sorta cracked the code on what he wanted to be as an artist.

That being said, everything starting with Club PrEP stuff and those singles to his disasterous coachella performance have been pretty bad and embarrassing. I think he's fallen off in a way that's hard to measure simply because there isn't an awful album to hang our hats on. I would love nothing more than for him to come back with an album on the same level as Channel Orange and Blonde, but he hasn't seemed very interested in doing that for a long time now.

I feel like that's why myself and many others are so frustrated. He is such a talented artist but seems to have lost the plot. Forgot Chanel had dropped after this album, that was a good one.
