Cantamos pessors vivas.

Not bad at all, friend. It's more like '' Nous chantons les personnes vivantes''

I relisten to the album atm, I really love it. Especially the first part, but the second part has grown on me as well.

Ok, pal. These are the problems with the translators.

About the album, I always see it as a whole piece of music. I'm glad that it grow in you with the time. A real jewel for mellotron fans.

Yes, the translators, even the google one, are not perfect and will never be, cos of the syntax, the grammar etc...but it helps. English is more easy to translate I think. I often use it to comment on Sputnik. It must be your case too, when you do reviews or when you comment or reply.

As for the album, I could see me bump it up to a 5 eventually.

Yeah, you're right. The translator that I usually use is the google. And it's better now that it was in the past, fortunately. However, we must be very careful with it, especially when we are making our reviews. I need to correct it very ususally. But fortunately my English has improved a lot more since I make reviews and comments much more often here on Sputnick.

About the phrase in French, I distracted myself a little bit. As I told you, I know a little bit French, although I don't speak and write usually, unfortunatelly. I know perfectly well that "persones" is plural and so, I should have written "vivantes" and not "vivant". Oh, well. Definitely, my French is a little bit rusty, this is for sure a fact.

Yeah I noticed that you improved your English, I can confirm to you.

About French, you're right. ''Personnes'' is plural, and it's also a feminine genre (not a masculine genre), so you need to put an ''e'' to ''vivants'' which makes ''vivantes''.

I don't know if you have the masculine and feminine genres in Portuguese, but it doesn't exist in English.

Yeah, in Portuguese we have the same. Don't forget that both are latin languages and have many common points, sometimes they're very close. For instance in this case we have, "viva" is feminine singular and "vivas" is its plural. In general to do the plural we add an "s" to the word too. As you can see there are much more close points in both languages that we can thought in a first place.

Very interesting. And we both need English in order to be clearly understood each other. English is the official and universal language worldwide. It's the big boss ;)

No problem Diva. You're always welcome.

Despite I'm sure you aren't familiar with the Portuguese language and as I know that the lyrics are very important to you, I must tell you something about them. The lyrical part is very important on this album. The poem "Cantamos Pessoas Vivas" was wrote by a contemporaneous Portuguese poet, José Jorge Letria. They celebrate the end od the dictatorship and the times of freedom. They talking about people and their lives, people who were live in those days in contrast with the previous times where they were dead. Above all the lyrics celebrate life.

If you're interested you can take a look to "10.000 Anos Depois Entre Vénus E Marte" and the EP "Vida (Sons Do Quotidiano)", two prog works of José Cid, the same guy who was the leader of Quarteto 1111. Both are great. "10.000 Anos..." is even considered a cult prog album in these days. The subject of the album is a sci-fi story, but the EP is again about the life of an ordinary person from birth to dead. Musically both are in the same vein, with a massive use of keyboards, especially the mellotron. You can also see my reviews about both works if you want.

Cheers, man.
