"He's dying man. Last show ever. Pure emotion."

lets stop waxing poetic just for a sec
does he scream terribly in the actual song or did he only do that on that specific performance?

just the performance. he's known and loved for his impromptu freakouts during their shows. definitely inspired by some early punk acts.
|

interesting.
i can see how that performance would move his fans. for me it was just kind of ??? but im on the outside here.

Oh yeah sorry man. Most of those screams and stuff were impromptu like Johnny was saying. Though the studio version of Grace, Too has a few cool wails in it.

i was just especially curious about it because it didn't sound like a... 'musical' or 'melodic' wail of any kind if you know what i mean?
like they were straight up just primal, chaotic, or just utterly anguished and broken if you know what i mean. so it made me curious as to what was going on there in the actual song or if it was indeed the product of just breaking down on stage.
i like it better knowing its not an actual part of the song. makes more sense.

ya, there were definitely some wails and screams that made me feel ~uncomfortable~ i guess because they were so un-melodic/ musical/ emotional whatever. primal is a good word to describe them. moving stuff indeed.

its important for music to make u uncomfortable sometimes imo
|

art in general really
it makes the 'sweet' moments more gratifying
