It does have the best production for FIR, which still isn't good in my opinion, though likely just due to inadequate funding. Eh, the bit with the girl cheer thing makes me die a little inside. But for the most part its a ridiculously fun album.

Ironically it's not even the super fun tracks that I dug the most about Fashionably Late (although they're still fun)

I enjoyed the more serious tracks like "It's Over When It's Over" and "Drifter" the most.

Huh, thats interesting, they're my least favourites. I suppose I never go to FIR for serious stuff, although it is interesting to see Ronnie tackle more personal issues rather than just being braggadocios

That's why I liked the serious tracks more. Ronnie's had an... interesting life, so it's more than worth hearing him take a serious stance on things.

Hmm, i suppose. I think those kind of feelings can be better explored in a different genre if I'm honest, though I don't suppose Ronnie is ready to go full indie folk or some shit like that

Snide, you kidding tho? All of his serious songs come off as really trite tho. I've always preferred the cocky rapper Ronnie, cuz he's actually a decent rapper and he's got tons of great meme's strewn throughout

@zaru: let me know what you think!

@nate: even his serious rap I enjoy more than his cocky rap

I remember when I thought this was the worst they could do but their last 2 albums made this look passable.

Because the two albums after this were worse?

i knew snide has objectively questionable taste but a 4.5 for generic radio metalcore wtf. This is probably a 2.5 at best, and that was only after hearing the first three tracks. An entire album of this polished happy radio-friendly junk would probably be like nails on the soul.

Zaru the first three are different from the rest. This is a very back heavy record. The first half is far more poppy.

def a snide review. can't think of another user who would put together a solid 4.5 review for an abhorrent record like this.

Thanks! I know the user consensus is that this album is terrible, but I'm trying to show people what I hear in it in hopes that more could possibly enjoy it.

I can't dude. I get war flashback when I do haha. It's like playing my Chem sometimes. I'm a well adjusted adult but once this plays I'm a scene kid wearing all black with eyeliner all over again
