All they played was The Outer ones from start to finish. Wasn't a big fan of them live. Psycroptic and Voivod were my 2 favs.

Both Outer Ones and the newest are making me nostalgic for this, this turns out to have some truly stellar stuff together with the onset of the decay after Deathless. Monolithic Ignorance is top 5 Revo.

biggest thing holding this band back is the ridiculous reliance on the double bass as well as Dave's very boring vocals

Vox are a weak point for sure

Wasn't expecting these almost Metallica melodic singing, even though it slays as any Revocation

I remember being so stoked about these guys when Existence is Futile dropped then seeing them live right after and falling even more in love. Somehow shortly after I just kind of left them behind for no good reason. I want to play catch up now though. Just threw this on due to your comment about Metallica style vocals since I had no idea they ever went that route. Shocked to hear they come right out the gate with it. I actually kind of dig it tbh

Eheh their latest is a slapper too and it doesn't have those vocal features. Do it too cause it totally worth it.

these guys are the Chevelle of death metal. A 3.8 on nearly everything.

Their latest is the only album of theirs I've heard beyond the follow up to Existence is Futile. New one is pretty killer too agreed. I'm not sure what I will check from them next but I'm definitely gonna continue. Since I'd heard the new one and with it being vacant of cleans that's why I was shocked this one has them. Odd that they just outright scrapped the idea because sprinkling them in there works well. I will say the newest one probably wouldn't have worked as well with them though with the overall vibe it has.
Dave Davidson is a fucking monster on the guitar. Just felt that needed to be said and known m///
