The joke is really good, I can understand that. The spectacle "Poppy" is pretty fun to watch, especially given that there are still people who think that she isn't in on the joke. But I still would really want the music to be way better, especially if you know that Titanic is a pretty damn good songwriter when he wants to be.

Part of why I enjoy it so much is knowing that somewhere behind the curtain, Sinclair is wringing his hands saying "Dance, puppets".. and making bank off of a blatant troll. Self-awareness helps, but doesn't necessarily absolve it of being lazily written in parts. Then again, maybe that's part of the act. It's almost too meta for objectivity.
