"Meshuggah added atmospheric guitar lines to fill up space and make the blunt djunty guitar rhythms seem less dead;"

Had to do some catching up but... no.... Meshuggah has become one of the samiest acts man. Their last outing was so weak. Honestly... there were only two or three songs of the new album that are "chuggy".

Agree Spencer gets on my nerves sometimes. He's not on Daniel Thompkins' level as a singer (and the band is not on Tesseract's level as songwriters) but I have to give him props for command of his instrument. He's naturally high pitched, which helps make him seem really good, but being able to scream the way he does and hold his notes live is pretty impressive if I'm being honest.
