I like a lot of rock, but yeah Remain in Light is one of the greats

in terms of "canon" rock albums, i like a decent bit of them but remain in light is one of the ones that i think truly deserves its acclaim

Fair

It used to be my 2nd favorite of their behind this, but it eventually came forth as the best... maybe getting into Fela Kuti helped that

Love the Remain In Light love, that one is so incredibly consistently perfect.

They've got a whole bunch of great albums.

it's pretty nauseating hearing the dude from Live on a (talking) heads track. terrible fucking song, a low point.

it's just a weird album more than an outright bad one i'd say. like the bitterness towards Byrne really comes through, somehow. it should be a fun romp but it's depressing to hear half the tracks not click at all, too many guests just don't gel.

this is definitely my second fave talking heads album! Their first four are rock solid, then the next two worsen a bit and then some good songs some not-albums follow, that i can't really remember right now... Nothing beats remain in light though.

Damn this band write catchy grooves. Also weird how the anxiety-ridden concepts conflict with how upbeat and bouncy some of this (and RiL) sounds.

RiL is growing on me and I’m just getting into this as well, really interesting band.
