They're about on par tbh. Neighbourhoods was far too tom dominated while this one was too mark dominated. There needs to be an equal balance for it to be really great
And I know this one has no tom, but mark dominated and Matt had like only a couple of chances to shine.
If it could be truly 50/50 it'd be fantastic. And we need another Travis song like the interlude in self titled

there's not a single song here that's just Mark tho (bar maybe Built This Pool and like, who cares), Mark and Matt are pretty even on this
I must say it was goddamn gratifying to finally hear a Mark song as the opener to a Blink album tho, worth the whole album just for that

I dunno, I was really hoping for more of an alk3 vibe on this one. I still feel Matt was seriously underutilized.
I agree with that sentiment tho, Cynical is def one of their best openers imo

People on Facebook are saying this is classic Blink! That couldn't be further from the truth. Completely clueless.

Yes this still sucks.
Cynical and San Diego are the only tracks I even look back positively on...
Neighborhoods is like way, way better than this.

San Diego is amazing, but overall this is really dull and unnecessarily polished

Most people on this website are too harsh and critical with the reviews. This album deserves a solid 3 imo. No reason to judge my opinion right?

Good on you if you dug it. Personally i hated the lyrics on here (a a a antisocial a a a antisocial a a a she's an angel yeeeeeeeeah) and a lot of the songs felt lazy and boring. But the drumming was good, and it has some solid cuts (cynical kicks ass), so i guess i can see the appeal?

I read somewhere that Feldmann listened to blink's past discography to get a sense of the production he should go for, so what the fuck was he thinking about when he overused samples and added all those vocals, while burying the guitars and bass. If I remember well, Finn had a crystal clear production without needing to add so much useless crap. So other than the fact the lyrics and songwriting here is mostly absolute garbage (listen to She's Out Her Mind, Los Angeles or Rabbit Hole without cringing), the production pisses me the fuck off.
Cynical might be one of the few passable songs, along with San Diego and Bored To Death. But really the only songs that sound anything remotely to classic blink is Brohemian Rhapsody, The Only Thing That Matters and Built This Pool, and two of them are joke songs, go figure.
