In other news, Fates Warning has somehow broken into the Sputnik Trending Albums section at number 9, so far. That's definitely a first.

About fucking time. Guess I'll keep commenting to keep it trending :D. This album should get them some more recognition. I think they need to be on a metal label to get more publicity tbh.
And their first video should have been a proper one, not a lyric one. Lyric videos get less views relatively

Can't get enough of Jarzombek's performance and drum sound. He's still held back to a degree, but his contribution is just superb. So glad Matheos recruited him. There are few drummers that could have replaced Zonder so perfectly

Nice to see that it's trending! I need to listen a bit more (had about 2 spins so far), but I've really dug this each time I've listened. Doesn't drudge quite as much as Parallels, which is welcome, but has the same (a better, even) sense of superior songcrafting.

Heard this a couple of times in the past days, it's great but maybe a little too big on choruses, songs like Seven Stars can get a bit annoying. Will check again.

Album is fantastic. I, unapologeticlly, already love this band... and while its no APSoG or Disconnected--it has a great modern prog metal feel with Jim churning out the riffs. Jim sounds energized and Ray is singing in his range.
Total win :-)

Fuck, this band rules so hard.

@ray: I think the two albums you mentioned have their own charm. Love how dark they are and the keyboard presence. Like you said this one is more modern and aggressive, but remaining intelligent, mature, and melodic. Something a lot of metal bands can learn from
@beef: Matheos is a beast and as creative as ever. Separating the men from the boys
Also, the album is now trending at #8.

@OmairSh Keeping the album trending was my main reason for commenting--Matheos and company deserve this. ...and also, totally agreed--this is a different beast than APSoG and Disconnected--but amazing in its own right.
It's up to #6 now :-)
I always wonder why more prog bands can't discover a modern sound heavy sound without getting corny. Jim does it so effortlessly.

If you guys want to listen to some good prog, give the new Wolverine a try. Especially you Omair, I believe you're going to be pleased!

Does somebody knows on which tracks Aresti is playing? If he's on Seven stars and White Flag then I know why those songs strongly bring me back to Parallels and InsideOut
"The ghosts of home" is insanely good, tons of Rush influences there.

He's on rooftops and white flag
@myth: aight, thanks for the rec
@ray: up to #5 now, going up. I think it's effortless for matheos because he's not really trying to appeal to anyone else. He makes honest music, and that shows in whatever genre he undertakes.
