Go back and listen to Stone's Reach again man. It's got the strength of atmosphere and some nice melodies like this does, but better riffs and more exciting.

Stone's Reach holds a special place in my heart because It was introduced to me by a cousin a few years ago who sadly passed away in 2014 from a motor vehicle collision, but I have such good memories of drinking and jamming it with him on these big ass speakers at our family cabin in a secluded forest in B.C. Objectively it's a great album and their best work too though I'd say

havent heard this but i like this band more than most people



good bands to check: eucharist, gates of ishtar, hacksaw to the throat



at the gates '91-'93 stuff if you haven't heard it



not strictly melodeath but edge of sanity



and dismember - the god that never was

its not even melodeath more like after the burial or the acacia strain with hardly any lead guitars (and what is there is pretty mediocre for the most part)
