I'd take a whole album of songs like Nu Romantics (with a better chorus). It's actually really good

I'll be honest I could see this coming, thought TBB was a step down from FH too. I understand bands change but this album lacks the majority of the elements that made this band great.

If this closer actually went somewhere it could have been one of their best songs. What a shame.

it's like they still have the ability to write a good song and then half way through it they remember "hey we're letlive we're soul punk boi we should like slap our dicks on the instruments"

theyre so obsessed with being letlive

fake history will always be one of my favorite albums

tbb is good but sounds like it was recorded underwater

this just turned into the jason butler show. just another promising band that squandered their potential

or, like i've said before, they never really had potential to go anywhere after fake history. that album defined their sound. they set themselves up to fail

Well, not only is this album a huge step down, the themes are left wing as hell and stupid. They've lost it.

They need to break up so Jason can pursue the solo alt-boi pop/r'n'b career he is clearly desperate for. The song writing suffers for trying to accommodate him as a presence in my opinion which is a difficult position since his "zany antics" are a big draw for them as a live show.

This album has some jams but 4 and 11 are some of the most laughably bad tracks I've heard this year

4 is so so bad. I've had a feeling for a year or so that their new release would be average. Glad I caught them live during TBB tour cycle.

I was lucky enough to see them do a one-off before TBB. They played every song off fake history except over being under, and played a "new song" which was 27 club. Happy I could make that
