Agreed on Earth being worst, but I adore Child of Dust - such a powerful closer.

And interesting to compare Silver Wings and Salt And Shadow - I get where you're coming from but don't see a need to stress it.

Water is definitely best, Fire a close second. I used to love Air but I think I over-listened to it at some point, it doesn't do as much for me now. Earth is obviously last, though all 4 capture the sound they set out for so well.

Earth is the one I listen to the least but it possibly has my favorite of the sonnets, with Silver Wings being a ridiculously-close second.

Man, I just can't get into these guys, aside from the excellent Vheissu and the Alchemy Index.

Well... Vheissu and Alchemy Index are their best work, so at least you've got those haha

Fire and Water are probably the best things they've ever done, although the religious messages come across as a bit forced at times.

I've always referred to Air as "the Bush did 9/11 one"

Still not sure whether I like this, or Major / Minor more.

Major/Minor for me. Though that album's far from their best.

That's funny because Vheissu is, by far, their most explicitly religious album. Major/Minor comes close but Vheissu has tons of stuff that's pulled directly out of the bible.

Just listened to Broken Lungs for the first time because Ebola's comment made me curious. Its actually a really well done song

the ending of death from above has grown on me quite a bit. at first i wished they went back to the chorus again but now i love it.

The last minute of that song is the best part of this album

Third chorus of Hurricane or the heavy af end to The Window is probably my favorite moment on this

Broken Lungs is amazing, despite Kensrue's views on the subject matter of the lyrics.

Really wish I still dug Broken Lungs as much as I once did. Between actually understanding the lyrics and overplaying it, it just doesn't do as much for me as it used to.

Congrats on the staff promotion btw Talons
