Artist cuts the fat, Illusion is a roller coaster. Things happen so quickly on that album, it takes a bit of getting into to get a feel for the structures. Artist is more memorable (to begin with) because it's simpler.

With the first four Thrice albums, each is better than the previous one.

I used to think Vheissu was overrated for years. Now, I think it's indisputably top 2 or 3 (including the Alchemy Index, which I'm just going to count as one unit from now on.)

EDIT: This reads weird.

Vheissu never had the staying power or replay value for me that the rest of Thrice's discog has. I recognize it as a great successful transition record for them and all, and I "get" why everyone likes it, but it's just not for me so much. I find Dustin's vocal tone especially annoying on it.

Vheissu and Beggars are my favorites, along with Water and Air for their best EPs.

Air? I always thought Fire and Water were the two best

The first four songs on Air are among the best this band has ever done.

Air does seem to get overlooked a lot. I love that little diddy.

Very well crafted EP for sure. Not quite as smooth as Water or as rousing as Fire but it hits the spot

I have a soft spot for the last two. The Arsonist is a bit scrappy and The Messenger is a cheap Silhouette rehash. However, Backdraft should get more love - they captured a very delicate, brittle atmosphere there.

backdraft is the only other song i dig on fire, forgot it was on that

water is good but honestly mostly boring af

earth is easily their worst, think the only song i dig is come all you weary

air is prob their best. first four songs are all great. i used to like silver wings a lot but i feel like the last song on this album does the same thing but better
