"as far as i know its the 89 original, 2004 remaster, the 2013 box set master, the 2013 hd tracks master and the sacd"

There's also the 2015 version: the 200g vinyl thing that followed the 40th anniversary series and it's called something like "the Atlantic years". I haven't heard it but in that series there's also S&A and TfE so it should not suck. That said the series also has Counterparts, which imo comes close but still doesn't beat the sacd.

Basically read here cause I'm bad at explaining: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/rush-vinyl-reissues/

Speaking of Moving Pictures, I stick to the Mercury 800 048-2 CD with 03 matrix

depends how much you can tolerate compression, they aren't bad but i'd rather go with originals or the hdtracks 2015 releases

cool, it doesnt bother me too much unless its real bad or noticeable. not like i have a high end sound system either, just want the discs that i can put on whenever.
i'd rather have a consistent box set than spending hours upon hours looking for each specific edition

some are worse than others though

section version of this for example has a DR of 7, the original is DR 13. crazy

I believe mine's from rutr too but I can't seem to find the source. I'm quite sure it had "03 matrix" clearly in the title with some {} brackets somewhere

i mean there's obv fuckin quality in all the other rush records, but none makes me happier than these because they're so upbeat and catchy

Yea they made some quality 80s stuff. You really can't go wrong with these guys for the most part. Such a respectable career.
