I've never understood the "Amnesiac is just the filler from the Kid A sessions" argument. I think the style of music on each is fairly different - Kid A is more electronic and Amnesiac is more jazz and orchestral.

Not only that but i highly doubt Radiohead would throw a song together with the intention of creating "filler". Maybe back in their more alt rock days.

There are too many shitty songs on the album and it doesn't have that same classic album flow of the previous two = 2.5/5

The B-Side 'Cuttooth' I prefer to everything on this album

Your reviews are always so garbled man.
Do you actually read them back and think to yourself, 'yeah, that flows well, it makes sense....'

that said, all those negs aren't necessary. With a bit more tightening this could be a decent review.

the b-sides from this one actually give most of the actual album tracks a run for their money

they coulda made this one into the kind of sprawling album that hail to the thief ended up being if they'd wanted to, but i don't neccesarily mind just having those outside tracks as their own little ep or whatev cos goddamn they're solid

2.5? Harsh, ya Doofus. I love this album, don't care it it's the Kid A b-sides or whatever, it has a mood all its own. Sounds like no other Radiohead album in my opinion.

It's my favorite and the b-sides are cool, but have nothing on this

Of course you'd pick the least experimental b-side by far and prefer it lol, b-side wise though it's all about Fog and The Amazing Sounds of Orgy

Fog is decent, Orgy is a bit of a 'haunted house' dirge but it's ok. Worrywort is another great one but more of a Kid A vibe to it.

Side B of this is a train wreck for me. Dollars & Cents is pretty much the only thing I enjoy on Amnesiac from track 7 on, and I enjoy it about as much as I enjoy House of Cards (the worst song on In Rainbows) - what a mess. Spinning Plates is ok but the live piano version is (I know less experimental) better. The alt Morning Bell is again just ok. Hunting Bears meh. Glasshouse we don't need to go there.

Side A of the album I'd rate a 3.5/5 and Side B barely a 2/5
