It's not that I dislike it, and it is certainly fitting as a closer and it's certainly a great song, if not excellent, but I go to PUP for energy and it's the only song that lacks it

I love it for that very reason; there's an undercurrent of sadness and dread beneath the energy for most of the album, and on Pine Point, that exhaustion is in the forefront with one final look back and a warning to those who come next. It's just perfect imo
