yeah this. for the record, I gave TLOP a 4 and this a 2.5 but really I couldn't decide between 3.5 and 4 for TLOP and 2.5 and 3 for this. 2.5 just feels a bit harsh but I guess 'average' is a pretty good description overall
as a side, that TLOP review you did was one of the most on-point reviews I've read in a while

shits still growing on me. his singing has improved so much. his vocals totally carry Juke Jam and while i hated Same Drugs initially, it grooves pretty hard - and what other rapper could pull that shit off? Chance just makes me happy.

It's interesting to see that this has such a mixed reaction, as all I've heard is pretty glowing praise.
I was disappointed with TLOP and this is only a slightly better album. Like wwf said, the handling of religion on this is not to my liking. I find it overly simplistic and churchy.
I can see this album meaning everything to people in a certain headspace.
