i usually prefer their more electronic production to their guitar stuff and i feel like this had more of the latter. also a lot of tracks seemed chaotic for the sake of it (like hot head) rather than in a way thats executed well (like get got for example). it also lacked the catchy synth/vocal motifs that usually pop up on most of their tracks. idk i feel like its their first released ive heard that didnt surprise me at all and thats what brings it down
