I was always kind of surprised he had a fairly good avg on most of his albums here

I mean, I love him, but I could see why ppl wouldn't be a fan

his praise on sput should come to no surprise given the inexperience within the vein of hip hop 90 percent of the user base has. combine that with very vanilla, easy listening, dare I say, entry level rap, you will get higher averages for rappers like Aesop. there are tons of other examples. I love Aesop tho, sucker for his rhymes and flow

I love the dude pretty well too. Doesn't come to my mind when I first think of GOATs, but when I think of the best white guys rapping El-P, Lil Ugly Mane, and Aesop come to mind. Probably Kno from CunninLynguist too. But all of those guys are exemplary rappers completely apart from that.

His voice annoys the shit out of me. Maybe I should give this a shot anyway

I really am enjoying his new album, this one I never got on board with. felt like a massive drop in quality after skelethon and his releases with hail marry mallon

He was one of the first rappers I started seriously listening to, I think. The T/t and Coffee from None Shall Pass are what got me onto him, if I remember right

I have always enjoyed his somewhat nonsensical lyrics and weird flow/voice. I have branched out to a decent amount of others in the rap/hip hop realm now (still workin on expanding to others, tho, as always), but I still really like his stuff and come back to them often

"Am I the only one who thinks this guy blows ass? Even labour days is annoying af barring a few good tracks"

I wouldn't say I hate him, but the highest rated album I have in his discog is a 3.5 and I've heard most of it. His voice is pretty annoying though I agree, I feel I'll forever associate him with rhyming "Nardwuar" with "Aardvark". Like that's basically all I hear when he raps

you do be kinda right - i really like labor days and malibu ken and i [i]love]/i] this one, but the other hyped Aes (Skelethon, the new one, none shall pass) always cringe me out to a varying degree.

as i said, inconsistent

Yeh new one has some cool stuff but it’s too long and the production is a lot less interesting than it is on this one

Yeah new album sounds great. As soon as Coveralls started I thought it was a G-Unit track, man that would have been sick
