I really enjoy the first half. If they just included the first six songs as well as the closer this would be a superb mini-LP, but yeah they drop the ball fucking hard near the end.

the void alone, scar queen, dreamless, les silences.... all gold. Gotta appreciate their mellower side too, bro.

The Void Alone is really a cut above everything else, title track and Amber Gaze are pretty cool too.

damn this sounds disappointing. we need to petition for a remastered tfp

The album wasn't half as memorable as the harvest wombs. Pretty cool, prolly 3,5. I'll listen again to make sure

Keyblade, take a gander around Google for the TFP vinyl FLAC rip. I bought the album so I don't feel bad about pirating a special copy. Dude ripped it to FLAC at like 3000kbps. Sounds great even after I converted it to 320kbps MP3. Remember how Starlit Path always opens with popping and crackling? Virtually eliminated, and I feel like I can finally enjoy it at its full potential. It's a shame the band won't/legally can't release a remaster. Allegedly TPF is like DR4 or 5 or 6, but Zach had a DR10 version that he allowed some people to sample. I want that. I would pay double.

I definitely can't see me rating this as highly as TFP but still it's very good and at least will win "Album Art of the Year" in my books.

jaq i'm actually with you on this one

Enjoy keyblade! Of course it's still not perfect, and baseline it's quieter than the originally-digital production, but once you crank it up it feels a touch more dynamic and the cracking/popping/clipping is hugely minimized. Falling in love with TFP all over again, maybe even more so than I did the first time around.

the void alone is an incredible song

I'm gonna file this one under disappointment. This is barely a metal album. First two albums are superior in every way.
