I just think it's nice to hear PJ as somewhat happy/hopeful for once on that one, it's her most easily enjoyable album and I really don't as that as a bad thing.

Rid of Me definitely has more energy than Stories but I don't know about diversity, most of the songs on that album sound more or less the same to me. The only one that's terribly different from the others is the sextet version of Man Size.

Well not on every song, but I'd say Meet Ze Monsta, Long Snake Moan, Send His Love to Me, and the Dancer were all pretty energetic

Just listen to the rest of PJ's discog and rate it all 4+ except for Uh Huh Her and you'll be good.
