Well, to each his own, I think it's a great song. Rubicon on the other hand is a bit generic for me.

rubicon has the best chorus on the album wtf. and that crisp ethereal guitar playing. headdress is like their most generic song ever. the screams in the verses are so shit and the production is just lolbad

Not really, rubicon has the worst chorus on the album. It's a generic arena rock song while GH has so many layers that it takes a while to discover them.

bro that's like... the worst opinion ever. rubicon is one of the few songs on the album that breaks the generic song structure mold and forges something catchy and melodic. you think those shimmering guitars in the chorus sound more generic than the watered down, hollow-sounding shouting on headdress?

Im with Gyro on this one, GH is incredibly generic, and Rubicon is excellent.

like, I've got the volume way down on this as a test and the last thing you can hear is the guitars and vox and the drums disappear completely

that's just a damn shame and that's like mixing 101 how are the drums so low on every single song

This grew off quite a bit, but this isn't a bad album by any means. The middle of the album is really good, and the ST track has grown to be one of my favorite Deftones songs.

I wasn't too hot on this initially but after jamming the 'tones discography for a while this may be my least favorite album by them.

Yeah I think abe was right when he said the guitars were too loud on this, but some of the songs don't really congeal either.

Gore feels like White pony 2.0 not the for the sound, but how everyone is split down the middle on if this is a good album. I bet down the road most Deftones fans will at least think gore is a good album, or just get to old to care.

Who are these people who don't think WP is a good album?

Yeah it's pretty much consensus that White Pony is at the very least a good album.

Can't wait to see these guys next week with Refused, so hyped. Haven't been to a concert in almost three years.

I think that this album is extremely similar to White Pony in terms of the atmosphere that they were trying to project. It mostly fails though, and I don't think that Deftones fans will ever see this album as being a highlight of their discography. I feel like the band has run out of steam.

Not that much, they play like 3-4 songs from the album.
