Punk is my favorite genre of music and the people in "the scene" are ridiculous. Punk is supposed to be the opposite of "the scene," but these idiot fanboy elitist fucks have mostly ruined it. I had a conversation with someone the other day, and I started naming some more modern punk bands to gauge where he was, and he put up his nose and told me how much they sucked.
The mother fucker ain't even heard of Fugazi, Wire, or Husker Du. How in the fuck are you elite?

I still remember going to a Shai Hulud show back in the day to just be bombarded with videos of animal slaughter and whatnot by the booths along the walls of the venue. Then some fucking piece of shit 4-piece "hardcore" band got up on stage and decided to spend 15 minutes in between songs pontificating about the horrors of eating meat and what we are doing to the planet. I thought I was there for the music, not his uninformed bullshit.
