I've being reading some contradictory reviews. The italians are talking a lot about heaviness, but this review took me by surprise. I love both sides of the band, but I was hoping for a heavy release this time. Will see.

Also, I'm sure that Carmelo has another record in his pocket, kind of what happened with the "Materia-The Blue" tandem back in the day.

I honestly don't find this heavy at all. It's more graceful than it is brute force, and it seems to work really well. I do love Carmelo's screams, though, and I wished they were used more on this.

Yeah me too, he does them melodically (even when is freaking angry!) and effortlessly (even live) and you can always understand what he's singing.

Interesting tie to Orwell in the opening paragraph but somehow it just seems contrived and somewhat bloated and pointless to me.

The tie to Orwell and Animal Farm is the foundation of this album's concept. The very first sentence explains what the album title means in relation to Orwell's work, and the band are very explicit in how Orwell and Animal Farm inspired this record. There are plenty of reasons to go into detail about it and none of those reasons are contrived.

What an amazing record!!

Just bought it in Itunes, the atmosphere of the songs is pure Novembre, like only they can do it, just perfect.
