I'm surprised people who love College Dropout or Late Registration don't at least have an ambivalent relationship to this--for me the sampling instincts hit many of the same pleasure points, albeit in a more unhinged manner. Certainly different from Yeezus, which I only like a little, in that respect.

i'm still mad at how little i like 30 hours though given that the sample is what it is

I'll admit I feel like I'm talking to an alien lifeform here, he who hears "30 Hours" or "No More Parties"--not my favorite tracks here, but I guess the most agreeable/classical--and goes, "Fucking garbage."

That Kanye verse on NMPILA is still my favorite of the year, for sure.

Ha, weird coincidence there Robin. I love "30 Hours," although at some point he made the drums sound worse--the original mix was best

Actually, No More Parties overall is amazing, I can't deny that.

lmao

i mean i think kanye kind of responds to the A.R sample well and so maybe thats what puts me off is how they're both his verses and the actual sample are kinda absent-minded sounding to me and hearing them run in tandem is kinda annoying. i like the second half where he just starts saying shit a lot more than the first half

"waves" is my fave song of the year lol

Ye had no business rapping on FSMH PT 1. Should have kept his verse on Wolves to himself too.

Ugh, that Kendrick verse really puts me off. Just his whole personality--it's like Mac Miller or something (although even this negative comparison is fertile ground for disagreement now...)
