I just watched a streaming of an acoustic set of Hayley Mary at http://www.radio1045.com/
Black clad and playing an acoustic guitar, she performed If Ya Want Me, Smile and Pleasure Drive. Her playing was good and her singing was excellent. The premise was a bit strange, Hayley solo performing acoustic versions of the synth led songs of Synthia, but her confidence rose as she performed and she was magnificent with Pleasure Drive. She had said in an interview that it's essentially a rock song, and indeed the acoustic version was rocking.
She will be doing some appearances around the USA, promoting the album as she can (and getting some experience for a future solo career maybe?).

Mainly Smile and Stand and Deliver tbh, I don't know the whole approach of focusing on her perspective as woman is commendable, especially since she's mostly avoids being preachy (not on Smile though) or condescending.
But it's been done so much better already (U.S. Girls) and it fell flat for me. (It also has been done much worse to be fair)
